Een driedaags bruiloftsweekend bij Borgo Castello Panicaglia


Een bruiloft fotograferen in het buitenland blijft elke keer bijzonder, maar het weekend bij Borgo Castello Panicaglia in Italië had écht iets magisch. Drie dagen lang omringd door warme mensen, een idyllische locatie in de heuvels van Umbrië en een programma dat voelde als een mini-vakantie.


Hier neem ik je graag mee door dit onvergetelijke weekend.

Aankomst, een frisse duik & een pizzaparty


Het bruiloftsweekend startte heerlijk ontspannen. Zodra de gasten arriveerden bij Borgo Castello Panicaglia, doken velen meteen het zwembad in voor een frisse start. De sfeer was relaxed, alsof iedereen direct één grote familie werd.


’s Avonds schoof iedereen aan voor een gezellige pizzaparty. Een borrel, steenovenpizza’s en Italiaanse avonden die nooit lijken te eindigen: de perfecte warming-up voor een destination wedding in Italië.

Brunch in het bos


De zaterdag begon rustig met een brunch in het bos, omringd door fluitende vogels en zacht ochtendlicht. Iedereen kon even bijkomen van de avond ervoor en genoot van gezellig samen spelletjes spelen. Daarna was het tijd om je klaar te maken voor het officiële gedeelte van de dag.

Wedding time!


Terwijl het bruidspaar zich voorbereidde, hing er een heerlijke mix van gezonde spanning en verwachtingsvolle glimlachen in de lucht.


De ceremonie was intiem, warm en precies zoals je hoopt wanneer je gaat trouwen in Italië: tussen de natuur, met uitzicht op de heuvels en vol echte emoties.


Aansluitend volgden een borrel, een ontspannen fotoshoot rond het landgoed en een sfeervol diner onder de Italiaanse avondhemel. Net voordat het feest losbarstte, pakten we nog een paar magische beelden tijdens golden hour. Dat zachte, goudgele licht doet het altijd zó goed, zeker in Italië!

Italiaans ontbijt & afscheid vol warmte


Op zondagochtend stond er een uitgebreid Italiaans ontbijt klaar. Cappuccino’s, vers brood, fruit en het soort gesprekken dat alleen ontstaat na een weekend samen. Het was de perfecte afsluiter van een bruiloft die voelde als een minivakantie voor iedereen.

Mijn ervaring als destination wedding fotograaf


Bruiloften in het buitenland fotograferen vraagt om flexibiliteit, creativiteit en het vermogen om mee te bewegen met de sfeer van de dag. Juist daarom hou ik er zo van. De ruimte, het licht, de tijd met het bruidspaar en hun gasten - het versterkt het verhaal dat ik mag vertellen.
